Hitch for Unigo....

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but here I am, and the mods can move it if they like.

I'm looking at buying a used Unigo trailer and the hitch is currently off a Honda ST1300.

I'm thinking of putting it on my GS1150, or buying a GT1200.

But, my question is, how difficult would it be for a shop to to modify the current hitch to fit my bike? (Whatever it is) Is this really time consuming $$$ so I'd be better just buying a new hitch? Or is this fairly easy to do? A new hitch is $325 plus shipping.

I know, I can't do it.

Thanks for the input, apart from, why a trailer?

If you haven't already purchased the used Unigo trailer, you might consider a moto-mule trailer. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=742318

I know used Unigo's aren't cheap, so this may be price competitive and give you another option.

Just a thought.

Moto-Mule is currently in a holding pattern, according to their website.

I have the complete setup - 2000 1150GS and LOVE it!
Hitch requires some fancy bends and basic welding.
To build one is going to be expensive, to make 5 would drop the price down for sure.
Its all about setup and design time.

If you can get a hitch that fits for $325, go for it
