Following this, sounds interesting at the least.

how you gonna follow me with a cam coptor and stay anywhere near enuff to follow me with a cam coptor?:huh

If you follow in your mini-van, somebody else has to drive the van don't they?
and if you are flying the coptor,,what about the trees and bridges I'm riding under to escape your eye in the sky?:deal

Is this a real challenge?,,:1drink

Hope yer camcoptor can fly near the speed of sound,,
cuz that's the speed my KLR rides!:lol3

They eat guinea pigs in some places!

After seeing a 4-rotor machine at the Oaks Parks flying along side the Christmas steam train, that got me thinking these things have come a long ways.

Speaking of long ways, bring that thing down here, we have some spectacular scenes/roads/canyons and blue blue skies to shoot along the bay and in the mountains. Write it off as buisness expense! It would be awesome PR for the area too.

And we've got a new local closed-course dirt track with jumps and banked turns, easy to fly that place, no overhead wires.

If you're over this-a-way and need some help, lemme know! Looks like a ton of fun :clap

Nice looking video David, not to mention flying.

Where is that train tressell walking path? I might have to break out a bicylce and check that out.

Thats out on the Banks Vernonia trail at the Buxton trail head.

I was hoping to ride with you guys Sunday but had a last min production meting and wasnt free till about noon. So I thru the Mt bike in the truck (and the copter) and headed towards Stub Stewart park to ride the bike trails.
I parked at the Buxton trail head and filmed the bridge for a bit then rode a few miles up to Stub Stewart and did a sweet loop thru the mt bike park.
Not as fun as your guys day but still a good work out :D

Your video looks really nice and smooth. I think your going to get some great use out of the Phantom. Someday I'll invest in that same control board but first I what the fpv.

Remember when I told I had a prop come loose the other day.......

Me too!

on the trestle part,,that thing is very smooth whatever it is,,and stable seemingly.
what camera does it use?
can the pilot see the camera view live?
how many spare channels does it have?,
how much weight will it lift?,,

,mmm,,,could it drop aigs on Just-thin beavers house?:lol3 :clap

My last footage on camera was more on how to plow a field... Cameras are bad for my judgement.

That looks like footage from a Blade 450 QX with a Go Pro... izzit?

Been eyeballing them lately no thanks to that multirotor thread and Mr. Ladukebob.....

Good thing I am broke :lol3

pdxmotorhead 01-28-2014 10:39 PM

Looks like it would be fun at Washougal....
