I use Nikwax on my Aerostich stuff. There is a non-phosphate detergent too. Supposed to be for tents and therefore less harsh. It all works well.

BTW, my Transalp is for sale in the Flea Market.

Exactly! This bike is for having fun. A helluva lot nicer than a KLR-again, there's one in my garage-and only $500 more. Explore some gravel roads, cross some creeks, eat at Mom and Pop restaurants.
