You can go 16. It's listed for DRZ400 but slides right on. You might have to grind some of the case protector to get clearance.

As I'm old and lazy I haven't checked DR side cases but Honda used to run oil passages in/out of side covers. Suzy clutch side cover? and someone supplied Honda with gaskets with ...no holes. so ya...

I think you're down to a different multimeter. 200k as far as I understant (about 3/8 inch) means 200,000 ohms. The book says, Tester knob indication x 1 ohm range, for CDI unit

if the book doesn't say, try different ohms...

There's a pic in the book, which doens't mention problems, but it shows a pic of the end of the Gearshift shaft, and says to fit the spring correctly so both ends of the spring appear in the 'window'...
