A lot of LED lights will run on AC or DC...check with DDM to make sure. Power-wise you're fine with or without the Baja Designs stator winding since the light uses less than 20W.

Haven't had any problems with the brace...it's a gen 2 with the plate mount (you can also get them without mounts).

0 volts isn't good. The battery may be toast. Before you connect a new one I'd check...
