Been there, done that . . .

Much as I tried, I failed to make my ST into an RT with a smaller fairing.
So I got an RT, and the only issue is, as you note, that sometimes it has more fairing than I'd like; other than that it...

I have one IICE Air installed on an R1200R and another on order that has not been shipped yet. Supposing I want to upgrade both to the new digital Air and Smooth combo product, what kind...

Replacing worn out ESA shocks is in the $3,500 range, if I remember right, and the OEM units are not rebuildable.
I chose a non-ESA 2008 R1200R earlier this year, and am very happy with it. The...

Love my 1200

Had several airhead G/S and GS's, an 1100 and two 1150 GS's. Now riding an 2008 R1200GS. The 1200 is, far and away, the best so far *for me*. Lighter, smoother, quicker, faster, more comfortable...

Heated grip wiring

celticus, the 1200 bars don't have or need slots for the heated grips like the 1100 & 1150’s did. The power wires for the grips are included in the harness that goes to the outer end of the bars,...

Tnx Rapid Dog. My butt has always liked Corbin, so I'll prolly go that direction, even though their customer service is non-existent & the seats are heavy. Like the idea of a flat dual seat, but...

IICE Air or Booster Plug

Just another endorsement for temperature sensor spoofers--I installed a Booster Plug on a R1200GS and an IICE Air (from the vendor here on AdvRider) on a 2008 R1200R I recently acquired. Both make...

1200!

I had two 1150's and now an '08 R1200GS. The 1200 is the hands down winner. It is lighter, smoother, quicker, faster; gets better gas mileage, and has better airflow around the helmet. It is more...

It's a bargain . . .

Not often you can say that about a genuine BMW accessory, but the "Tall" windshield @ $115 is a great deal. Because it is cut a bit higher over the headlights it lets more "balancing" airflow in and...

Laugh Rt + gs

I enjoy both; a 2007 RT and 2008 R1200GS (non-Adventure model).

The RT is great for long distance, on the slab or not, for colder temperatures and rain. I usually get 75 - 85 more miles per tank...

R1100s

Coming from an F800S, I think you'll like the R1100S the best. I've owned a '94 R1100RS, '96 R1100RSL, '99 & '01 R1100S's, and a couple R1150R's. Of the three models, the R11S has the best...
