As far as I know MX1Canada is the only source for Mitas in Canada. I bought a set of E07's, had them in less than a week no issues. I haven't heard anything bad about MX1.

Bike probably has a vacuum fuel shutoff valve. These fail regularly and fill the crankcase with gas, run the valve in prime position and remove the vacuum line and plug it. Should be good to go....

If it's spiting gas back into the air cleaner it's almost always the O ring on the float seat on these bikes. The float seat is just a push fit into the carb body, held in there by the O ring.
