I would prefer to stay at a pub or at least where we can have a beer and sleep in a bed for a night - and most remote pubs have a camping ground for those that want to camp.

Farcall mentioned the Flinders Ranges - That's fairly central (~2800k from Perth) so around May 2014 in the Flinders is fine with me.

I have used the Wunderlich Vario levers on my 2005 12GS for 3 years now and would not return to the standard levers. Comfortable feel, finger squashing alleviated....... as all mentioned previously...
