Its all good, I consider myself quite lucky to get this bike soooo cheap, only issue is waiting an eternity for icbc to get the registration sorted out. For now I have to truck her out to go ride....

Yes but the carb cleaner evaporates very quick. If it runs good in mid/upper rpm's, then the main jet is good.
So I think its the pilot jet/circuit...?

While talking about bulbs, is the headlight supposed to come on with the key in the on position? Mine doesnt, but my 92 dr350 did, from what I remember. With an electric start model, Im guessing it...

Yes the engine case, I will have to keep a close eye on it. Ive seen jb hold up to some amazing situations though.
I dont think there is a lot of pressure in the stator area.......?
