I checked it out. It's fully visable from 5' high at 8' back. I'm not concerned. That being said, I would mind a little more light and will add some reflectors on the top case.

That's a good point. I hadn't considered that. I do like the idea of more lighting - I'll stand behind the bike and see if it does restrict view of the light in any way.

Personally, I avoid roads that put me in harms way, either because of traffic volume or traffic patterns. If the bike lane is not usable, causing me to behave erratically, I would avoid that road.
