That's a very good looking bike! I prefer the 1st generation fz1's such as yours...They look pretty comfortable plus they have the R1 motor that had lots of bottom and midrange power.

Many folks have the pre conceived idea that twins equal more grunt but this just isn't the case...I have a bandit 1250 and like the poster above me mentioned it has crazy low end and midrange grunt...

I totally agree...If the bike you have is offered as a naked bike from the factory go the OEM route for conversion...Otherwise you have to be real careful with do it yourself naked bike conversions...

I think that windshield actually looks pretty nice! Another thing about the ninja 1000 I like is you can easily bolt a new screen on because everything is on the outside within easy reach...
