Control Road

Control road, FR64, which is below the rim, is probably open. You can take it from Tonto Village off hwy 260, or you can get on Houston Mesa road N. of Payson and pick it up there.

Not as nice as...

Yes, you can just walk over. Went late this afternoon. Great show, worth the crowds for the eye candy.

Lots of choices

Cyberdos had a good list there.

You mentioned Tombstone. It's alright for a visit, but they roll the streets up early there, and food choices are limited. A pure tourist town nowadays.

Not far...

Well...not quite that fast

I think it took us about 4 hrs from Mexico to Benson. Then about 2 hrs to Mammoth, then a little over an hour up and over Pinal Peak.

Which version?

Thanks 'dos, but don't you have the model that "calls them in" rather than the "sound the alarm" version? Suuuuuheeeee!

I think that's enough jocularity for one evening.

I like riding a dinosaur bike.

Wow JT, you are confused. Re-Create is different than PRO-create. You don't need a sticker at all for the second one. Oh wait, now I'm confused too. Why would one Re-Create when one could Pro-Create?

SoDak is cold

HTM, couple of things... (I grew up in SoDak so I'm qualified for these statements. Escaped when I was 18 to see what warm weather was like.)

1. Be a snowbird. Nobody moves TO SoDak in January....

Post ride?

Allrightythen,

On another non-bacon related note, I happen to know that Seabee1 always enjoyed a post-ride refreshment.

In light of this, I suggest we meet up after the ride at some watering...

Dumbass and dumberass

Oh come on...if you run over an idiot and have a plate they will find you using traffic cameras, ensuring you lose your house, but if you have no plate they won't know who you are! Much better plan!...

I know many on this board will miss him. Condolences to Keri and all those who knew him.

Not yet

I don't think so. There was a new building up, but not complete. It was between our wing and the gas station with a little foot bridge that 4Play rode across to the chagrin of the one worker there!

As for the AZBDR, it's a fun route and I thank the planners who laid it out...
