I played football with broken ribs after a shot of Toradol. The pain was significantly dulled. It still hurt, but it was tolerable.

I can't compare the Klim jackets to the Rev'It, but the Badlands will vent much better than the Latitude, in my opinion. It's one of the reasons I bought a Badlands: superior venting.
