I wouldn't ride it. If you can find someone that welds aluminum/not warp it then get it cleaned up nice so it doesn't bite tubes I would say good to go.

I would try and find a place to live on the same side of the water you are working on so you don't have to deal with the two bridges that goes over the Willamette (one for each direction of traffic)...
