Its a low voltage thing, if your battery has not got enough charge the ABS won't turn on even though the engine will start. Mine did it all the time untill I got the Hawker battery. It hasn't done it...

You don't gap irridium plugs as it takes the coating off and trashes them. Tried them once and noticed no difference so went back to the original spec plugs.

No prob, Had the same with my bike. After a few hundred miles I noticed play in the rear wheel and got the bearing replaced. Paranoid now.....Check it every week but so far so good, no play.:clap

Also check the bottom of the TB's they should both have a rubber bung covering the Vacume take off pipe you use when syncing the TB's, one may have abandoned ship.

Can't see the point of lockable oil caps? All the years riding my BMW I have never had one go missing or anything put in my oil. Just a moneyspinner for the suppliers IMO.
