Those switches melt inside, better to do away with the switch altogether.

Buy a similar switch off ebay (Thndercat, R6 etc) and swap the off/park/head switch into the Adv switch. The 3 wires you need to connect to are hidden in the outer sheath of the stock Adv switch.

The ABS 990 has a floating disc, the left side disc has a relief machined in it to allow the ABS ring to fit in.
