I used and old big tire iron to get the outer races off. Two smacks with a 5 lb sledge and they popped right out. I used the dry ice and Acetone trick to freeze the new outer races and a sliced race...

Anyone in the Denver/Boulder area have the Park Tools to remove and install the inner and outer races for the steering head bearings? I don't have the funds to buy the $300 worth of tools...

I finished up the rebuild this Spring and took it out to Moab for a long weekend of riding. Got in the White Rim and Lockhart Basin. No issues from the re-build other than the neutral being even more...

Don't know if it was mentioned, but you can buy gas in Atlantic City from Wild Bill. He has a house/shop on the route south out of town.
This was back in '09, but I would guess he is still around....

The back of the clutch basket has two sets of gears. The outer most gear meshes with the main crank gear. There is a second, smaller gear, that meshes with the two oil pump gears.

It turns out that the main shaft needs to be sourced from the Motherland. 1-2 weeks until it hits US shores and then it gets shipped to CO.
