NX250 Manual
One of the two NX250 manual links on the start of this thread seems broken now, and the files they have are a mishmash zip of PDFs and JPGs. So I went ahead and put all of the PDFs and JPGs together...

Personally, I'd go for any of the little dual sports, 200-250cc. Buy it cheap, learn on a bike that's easy to control, and sell it and move up. Guys who ride bigger bikes get over-enthused and think...

Bore 'em, that'll teach 'em.
I'm a woman, and my mom hated that I started motorcycling. My tactic has to been to bore the crap out of her when she worries. Tell me about a motorcycle accident you just saw on the news? I'll tell...

Lots of good advice on this thread.
I'm still a newbie, and the only times I've hit the highway have been with a (much, much) more experienced rider taking the lead -- doing a few miles, exiting,...

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about the MPG either. Seemed a little high.
Thanks for the info guys! From my poking around, and your info, this doesn't seem like it's a bad price. I'm going for a test...

2000 BMW F650 Price Check
I used the search and came up with some more information from other people's threads, but I'd still love it if I could get a couple of opinions from folks here. Hopefully this is in the right place!...

One thing that guys do sometimes is get worried about solving someone's problems, rather than just giving them space to express whatever they're thinking so they can just solve their own problems. (I...

I'll put up some pics soon, hopefully! I may write a little ride report, even though it kind of seems like "cheating" since I hired a guide. It was crazy and fun, though -- we had a guide I knew in...

Yeah, let me tell you, I caught a lot of flack from the guys I know for buying such a cheap/light/old bike. But screw them, they're not the ones learning! (I don't know if the XT225 I was originally...

Hi all!
Found this thread and had to say hi. I'm a woman, and a rider -- I have an '88 Honda NX250, held together by electrical tape and happy thoughts. (Since I'm relatively new, I figure having an old bike...

Poking my head in to say hi!
Hi all. I'm a newbie to biking in the US, after falling in love with it riding in Vietnam. (I'd taken the MSF class before, but while it taught me a lot of safety techniques, it didn't quite show me...
