I would check the coil. I don't have a manual for the numbers but it appears like the sparkplug isn't getting enough juice to produce a strong spark.

Last year I had a similar problem with my XL600. I was told to check the coil. I just needed to buy a new coil, only $16-17. I hope your bike back on the road soon.
