I did indeed

For a change I actually care enough to WANT to try and fix it. In the past I've just sold'em off and moved on to something that works.

Looks like stuff to help tweak your ECU

I'm not a mechanic by any stretch, but my bike has carbs (I was tweaking air mixture screws last night). I didn't think it had both--am I uninformed? It'd be great to be able to get this working...

First photo-op ride happened over the weekend

Had my first photo-op ride over the weekend. Have fueling issues to sort, but love the bike.

Here's a pic:

Going to collect it on Friday in Portland.

Been researching bikes

Found a cool site for trying to figure out ergos on bikes (very important to me due to herniated disc in neck). I figured out the V1100 Sport was too leaned forward after taking a look at a local one...

I've noticed

That the nekkeds only rarely show up on craigslist. Always have liked the way that motor sounds with good pipes. :D

Always thought those were cool bikes

What does it have for range? Can you get 150 miles out of the tank before you run dry?

No offense to Harley guys

But about the only HD I care for is the XR1200/X and similar models (like the old Sportster Sport). I could see a Buell in the garage.

Things are coming into focus for me on the bike front

Since this all started with listening to V-Twins on YouTube (various Ducati, Guzzi, Aprilia and KTMs), I think it's going to have to be a V-Twin. This is progress!

Now I just have to find a V-Twin...

I do find it difficult to be restricted to asphalt

Which is why I keep a Japanese dual sport in the stable at all times now. Reliability and easy maintenance are nice when you go out in the sticks alone like I do. ;)

That said, I would love to...

Totally is

The list at the start of the thread is of bikes I've owned. I've been thinking a lot about the Multistrada 1100/S again--and also the ST2.

Aside from having range and comfort, the Honda is probably the opposite of what I'm looking for. No offense to Honda riders meant--they're wonderful motorcycles. I just need to be stranded now and...

Do love me some Dorsoduro

Not sure it'd have the range I'm hoping for. The motardy bikes don't seem to have much range.

Was worried the Tuono might be too hard-edged for me

I owned an MV Agusta Bruatle and it was, well, brutal on Central Oregon's roads. It was mine all of about a month before I swapped it for a Triumph Speed Triple. After reading about the Tuono, I...

I contacted the owner of that Griso. He was uncomfortable with the fact that I have to finance part of it through my bank (USAA--which means there's no local branch). Can't blame him. CraigsList and...

Bmw r1100s?

What's the consensus on the R1100S? It's quirky and European. Nice looking and relatively easy maintenance. I'm wondering if that might do it. I know it won't have the raw appeal of some of the...

Multistrada could indeed be a good fit

Always drooled over the S version when I had my 620.

Don't see too many Guzzis out there, but I agree--the V11 Sport is drool-worthy.

Thanks, Tom!

2004 Ural Troyka needs a new front end or something
