I had that exact same bike back in '83, I think it was an '82. It was the same red, minus the modern updates on yours. Awesome bike! It had the 85mph speedo, there were doubler kits for speedo.

Agree 100%, I had two '78 XT500's and a '78 SR500, then a new '93 DR and finally my then new '03 DR. I love big air cooled singles. If the DR had a back up kick start, it would be perfect.

Both rollers that come with the DR are low quality, no bearings junk. Jesse has the Moose rollers or any bike shop will have them. I swapped mine early after getting my '03 DR, much quieter.
