loosen the rings that pinch the rubber boots and pull her straight out to the left side. the rubber piece that attaches to the air box is flexy enough to pull right out and cram it in later.

I bungee-ed to the buddy peg and ran it through my cargo net up top. worked well at 65 mph for 30 miles. And trust me, on that little DR it wasn't necessarily a smooth ride.
