The XC is very good off road if laced with the correct tires. Unless you are a dirt bike king, I doubt you would ever notice the diff between it and a beemer.

I have a question. I just installed the oem center stand, after testing it out, I find that it does not lift the bike enough. Neither tire leaves the ground. Is this the same with yours?

If it was me, i would just forgett about it. You could remove the gas pump and take the piece put. But i cannot see what dammage it could do.
