But I'd recommend going for the thickest film you can get. It'll do a good job.

Has anyone ever heard of an 8000 RPM rev limit in gears 1,2,3 on the 990 Adventure Dakar (2011, Adv R engine)?

A friend of mine has this problem and he'a been told it's OK.

Instead of removing the right fuel tank on my 950 every time I want to check the carb sync, I'm thinking about installing 2 permanent tubes that exit under the seat.

Is the leak air jet the same as the pilot air jet? If so, it's a screw and is set at 2.5 turns out for rear carb, 2 for the front.

I'll take the TPS off the old carbs today and give it a shot....

That's why I cleaned the carbs and put everything back to stock, except lowering the needle to 2nd pos. - kept it in 3rd. When it was in 2nd the surging was much much worse....
