Sounds like you have a gen2 lol. I've had 1/2 doz or so in my shop for similar complaints. Gen2 is prone to a bit of weave but its mostly a setup issue. Ride safe!

No...going too rich or too lean will reduce engine life. Did you mark your throttle tube for position and run under a load I.e. slight uphill? Required to get good readings throughout.
