Shorai experience
Mine wouldn't crank below 40F. I repeatedly tried the factory's recommended battery warm-up procedure and even two different batteries. Without success. Went back to stock unit. Good luck!

Yep - it works for maintaining the battery. I've done it for the past two winters on my 990 with no problems. And yes - the key is off. :D I've never tried to "charge" the battery this way since...

Fuel pump connector
From the factory - you'll have a three-wire set up on the tank side hooking into two wires. On my 2010 S - Red connects to Black/Blue, Brown connects to Black and Blue doesn't connect to anything. ...

Worn chain?
Check for chain wear also. Pull the chain at the back sprocket. If you can "see daylight" - your chain needs replaced. I just replaced my stock chain at 15K. Wow - I couldn't believe how much...

Map76 and Zumo550 plus paper maps when "out there". I like the 76 for offroad and the fact that it will load tracks for more precision when needed. But that little screen is gettin' tougher to read...
