Nice, with 12800 Euros in Germany quite a bit cheaper than the 1290 Super Duke R which comes at 15495.

Looking forward to a comparison between those two.

So there is no compatibility between different brands? That sucks, as one group of friends uses Scala and the other Sena. And buying both seems a bit over the top to me. (Maybe not to the vendors...)

Bought a used 2012 F800R this Wednesday. Registered it on Thursday and put a whooping 1000km on it the last two days. Awesome ride, just way too cold at about 0 degree centigrade....

Modern day Triumphs seem to be quite reliable. There's a German motorcycle magazine called Motorrad. In their 50000km test the Tiger 800xc is the third most reliable motorcycle ever tested....

Yeah I read that as well. Wonder where they might fit into the KTM lineup. (For BMW i can see Husqvarna as the "hardcore off road" brand, but KTM itself sort of stands for that...)

On the KTM site the 1190 is labeled as liquid...

On the KTM site the 1190 is labeled as liquid cooled, whereas the 990 is labeled as water cooled. Any difference here? (I do know water is a liquid...)
