1996 XR250R made it a few miles then quit. Son said he was downshifting.

Clutch much harder to pull, doesnt disengage when pulling the lever hard.:cry

Its not uncommon for people to disable the auto decomp like i am having done. Kinda glad i didnt pickup the bike yet....not sure i would have diagnosed that one properly.

I know they changed from wet sump to dry sump between those years.
I know they wont be silent, but mine is making a metallic noise inside for sure.

Turned off fuel petcock, removed fuel line from petcock. Sprayed carb cleaner into hose, followed by compressed air, then reconnected...

Redid the valve adjust, started on second kick, still makes a ticking in the top end.

Now gas flows out overflow, need to check the floats and clean carb tomorrow.

Adjusted them and i cant get it to start now.
