The phone does connect and if you are usink Garmin Link, all of the functionality is there including navigating to your phone's contacts. You just can't make or receive calls.

If you buy the front turn signal mount from an F800 they are as short as the rear and require no slotting to make them work! Did that to my 09 GS when I first bought it.
