That fast idle lever assembly is all all enclosed and just consists of the lever, a spring, detent ball and one more small black piece of plastic that is on the top area in line with the lever.

Hrmm...I suspected the cable install in the box went to well first time...throttle cables pull fine however the fast idle lever has tension however I'm not seeing any movement on the throttle cables...

After battling inconsistent idle and a few other related blips I finally decided to install the new throttle cables (and throttle advance, fast idle, choke and whatever else people refer to it :huh)...

I settled on .38v which has been good...
