Absolutely. I used Accuterra recently, just entered all the waypoints by double clicking the touch screen, and the display would show terrain/road/satellite.
Also MotionX-GPS is awesome.

iPhone is awesome so far for me, I use MotionX-GPS to import .gpx files, plenty of RAM MB for all the waypoints and routes you want.

I use the Ram iPhone handlebar mounts; hasn't come off yet in my crashes, if you're you're not sure, put a couple rubber bands around it. beats the Touratech $200 mount

I've have installed Apps: Mapquest, MotionX-GPS, and Accuterra, they work great. I download .gpx files on to MotionX.
