How often in the shop? Buy an older model (mine's an 07) and do the maintenance yourself. Way easy on the hexheads, nearly as easy on the camheads, someone else can chime in about wetheads.

Nope, I meant the 1290 Super Adventure. Go look at one. More equipment than a GSA for ~$5k less and comparable build quality. There are already folks jumping ship.

Got 30 miles in yesterday. Very solid and predictable on dry pavement, even from mile zero. Rode some grooved pavement and did not notice them tracking....

Do yourself a favor and get a Fuzeblock or equivalent next. Circumventing the CanBus system will make your life easier when it comes to a battery tender, 12V outlets, aux lighting and heated gear.
