Looks like they need to redesign the shock mounting eye, with more rubber in the joint. The present design apparently doesn't allow for enough oscillation in the joint without flexing some metal.

Get a valve spring compressor and take the valves out. You can clean them with a wire wheel, it would be a good idea to touch up the valve seats with some valve grinding compound.
