What triples are you running Yahbo? I have a 500 set up for sumo and I'm looking for lower offset triples between 14-16.. Choices are slim out there.

I'll throw a vote in for the Multistrada 1200.. I have the larger touring screen on mine and it's perfect for me at 6ft. If you are looking for a "light" sport touring rig I think it's hard to beat.

Mine has been rock solid so far. I will probably send it in after 2 years of service for a rebuild. It's recommended and cheap insurance to keep it working flawlessly.

I had the same noise after doing a valve adjustment on my 500. I think it's normal after listening to some other bikes at the dealer. It just wasn't happening before because the valves were tight....

Another vote for the giant loop bags here. Easy refueling and a port for a charging cable on the front are nice touches. I've had it out in torrential downpours and all my contents stated dry.

I mentioned the drz400 and wr250x.. You'd be hard pressed to find much more reliable thumpers than those. I've only got 3k miles on my 500 but so far they have been trouble free..
