I would have guessed the same thing, but the weld was.Not.touched. the problem I believe was caused by running a rear shock from an rm250 which required me to mount the exhaust slightly differently...

Why redo the whole thing? The wheel looks in really good strait condition. I think the spokes got broken by the bike being moved by a crane or something attached poorly to the wheel.
