Dumb question:
How do you guys clean your bike after it has gotten very muddy?

Around here if I get off pavement I eventually get stuck in some mud too, resulting in the bike being pretty covered...

I've done some longer tours with a friend that was on a 1200gs, that beast did well...

Perhaps too easy, but I bought two Princton Tec bicycle headlights and attached them to my crash bars. Turning on and off was not exactly stream line, but cam in handy often.

I'd take your dealer advise on the chain and sprocket. It really depends on your riding style, if when you look at the sprocket you can visually see worn marks on the chain side it's an indication...
