I see the Nitron shock also has height adjustment. I'm not sure if it has the ability to shorten the overall length, (lowering ride height) less than the STD shock.

Not sure what your talking about. I've moved mine (rotated and slid them in closer to the centre)

Mine is a 2014 model and has the different switches to the pre 2013 model.

Mine developed a lazy wobble on the front when I put too much preload on the rear spring which raised the rear out of its happy geometry. Try raising front or lowering the back.
