I thought they were both 26mm dia axles. Playing around on the parts fiche, the spacer tube, seals and bearings are 148mm long on the 690.

What does the beam pattern look like? I put a 9003/H4 in mine and it's brighter, by quite a lot. The pattern isn't half bad either, but I'm all for more light and less wattage.

I changed mine at 55 hours and it was pretty bad. I cut it open and'll post a pic tomorrow. I'd think 45 hours is a pretty good interval for the stock Mahle filter.

Air pressure is the preferred method in the car world. It'll keep the valves again their seats. The hard part would be the narrow spark plug well on the LC8.

I just bought a JT chain from my local Yamaha dealer. It has a higher tensile strength than the other chains I was shopping and has an x-ring. Best part was that for 120 links in 525, it was 89.99....
