I didn't realize the older ones were air/oil cooled - you gotta love the simplicity of air/oil cooled bikes (like my Nighthawk). Changing the coolant on my ST is a PITA.

I use my ST1100 for slab commuting which it does very well. Great wind protection, very comfortable, shaft drive, great storage and I get high 40s to low 50s mpg. You can put many many miles on them...
