It would most likely be in the carb, first make sure it is not restricted, and check installed jets as to what was stock,

I used a helmet like thatm, With zero vents and weight, I think it will be on the shelf ..
We use the Downhill Mountain bike helmets all are around $65-75
I use a Bellistic, and my kids use the 661...

We use SeaFoam, way better than StaBil, If its fuel injected you should have no worry's, but make sure you fill the tank, no rust will start if its full, I usually air up the tires more to eliminate...
