Another technique is to pull in the lever and zip tie it to the grip. Leave it that way over night. In the morning cut the zip tie and the lever feel will be firm.

I don't know why this works but...

Have you tried cleaning them? Unless they're gushing you probably haven't lost much oil. You can buy a fork seal cleaner or use a feeler gauge to clean them. IMO they're to new to be shoot.

Fiche shows shims for '12-'14 as same part numbers - 10mm. However, RockyMountain states 8.9 fits the '14. Interseting. Have you been inside the engine yet to confirm???

When mine gets that way I zip tie the brake lever to the bars over night. Not super tight, just enough to put good pressure in the line. Somehow it takes the spongy out.
