Alternative fuel grade is 87. Does the motor run too hot with premium? Pre dotonation especially in hot weather if the octane is high.?

You could always find a place that will anodize them for you. Much easier to maintain after that and you shouldnt have the metal rubbing off on your belongings when riding.
