The rear shock (ESA) on my 09 R1200GS pissed oil all over the place about 2 weeks ago. Had some non-ESA Ohlins put on it. Much better shocks than the originals.

The culprit was indeed a chaffed wire coming off the O2 sensor that was shorting to ground. Dealer repaired the wire and replaced the spark plugs on the right side. Also checked the ECU and said...
