If your saddlebag mounts are made by BMW, Siebenrock or Hepco Becker the new classic bags will fit. Supplied with the saddlebag is the newer style latch plate to accommodate the newer style latch....

The new bags come with the later latch plate zip tied inside the saddlebag. If you do not have them the Hepco Becker part number is 700.113(US Importer for 12 years)

This is the same method I use. On the clip side use a coupling nut and grind an angle into the edge of it so the snap ring will fit. This will be obvious when you go to install the clip.
