Yeah, that's the opposite of where I live (Florida). Flat straight roads and a lot of commuting miles. I don't see a lot of high RPMs or fast starts that much either. I save that for the motard.

I noticed that in the manual as well. I ended up just taking the throttle cable bracket off using a long philips screwdriver. Worked a treat. Just be careful not to drop the screws.
