Well, then you can set the gps to not turn itself off when power is cut in the settings.

You might find yourself with a couple dead AA's if you forget to turn it off, but your bike will start.

I've run D606's front and rear with 18 psi on both ends for over 20k miles. I get about 5k miles out of a set. No problems. Spoon them on and ride. Don't over think it.
