Anyone want to buy a CBR600RR?
I don't post on here very often, but anyone interested in buying a 2008 CBR600RR? I'm moving to Japan at the end of the summer, and plan on getting a local bike over there so I don't have to hassle...

Hack- I'm not sure how much the kids will like it, so I don't want to commit myself to a $695 membership fee + track maintenance days. Not until I know the kids'd stick with it. The CDDR website...

Has anyone ever taken their kids to Elizabeth City's MX track? I heard they have a section for kids on 50cc dirtbikes. Opinions? Tips?
Also, what do you guys think is a "reasonable and safe...

+1 for JB Weld
For applications like this, I've had good luck with both JB Weld and a sealant called "Seal-All" which is kind of like an oil safe RTV.

Cold weather gear
As far as gear goes, down to about 50 degrees, I'm comfortable with a jacket, neck gator, gloves and jeans. At least for the 1/2 hour it takes me to ride to work. The key is to get a relatively...

Falcon86 - come try my WeeStrom
Falcon,
Come over Sunday or Monday and try out my bike. I'm convinced that not all Vstroms have twitchy throttles.
And I really do think a Vstrom would be a really good 2nd bike for you, if you...

Test Drive
Recommend getting back-to-back test drives if possible. Those two bikes should "feel" different enough in the engine and handling departments that you'll probably gravitate naturally towards one or...

lighter, thicker, grayer caliper pistons
Kind of an old thread, but the question about the gray caliper pistons still wasn't answered. They're probably aluminum with a teflon coating. I know for a fact that some Triumph motorcycles are...

alternative air filter oils
bar and chain oil (for chain saws) is thin enough and inherently tacky. mix in a little ATF or Marvel Mystery Oil for color to help see where you've sprayed it.

I've bought stuff from them too
I got some parts for my xt225 from them. Seemed kind of weird at first to get motorcycle parts from a marine dealer, but they have been reliable and inexpensive in my experience.

Don't discount the 350cc thumpers!
If you don't mind a slightly older bike, consider the Yamaha xt350 and the Suzuki dr350. Both are good solid bikes with a more oomph than the xt225 or the klr250. I've got a DR350 as my first dirt...

I had an issue with fouled plugs on my bike. Go to the NGK website and decode your OEM spark plug code. One of the numbers is heat range, just order one hotter in the heat range.
Take care...

Thanks guys, the legality thing is probably the ticket. By the way, I just put in a new battery and not only do the lights work when the engine is OFF, but it idles way better at lower RPMs, too. ...

Batteries on kick start bikes?
So, I just picked up a '90 DR350. The previous owner didn't maintain the bike very well.
It fires right up with the kickstart but the battery is dead as a door nail (0.3V on the multimeter). ...
