I don't like the idea of a "permanent" tank. 90% of the time I don't need it. I would rather go a route where I can easily take the gas container off. That way I am not lugging around extra weight...

I have a pelican top case and carry 2 buggy cords in it. When is hot I put my jacket liner in the case...that's it.

I don't carry a spare anything when I am commuting.

PS: Your dealer is trying to sell a bike :deal. I rode my KTM 640 Adventure everywhere, single track, desert, woods etc 50-60 lbs wont tire you out as quick.
