So far so good with mine. Broken battery connector this past Monday, but a ten-minute fix. It's a 2011 EFI model... Fun commuter, and gets a lot of attention - probably too much.

Make sure the little square nut inside the terminal is lined up with the bolt hole and simply screw it in (usually a #3 Phillips bit, not the standard #2). Easy to do with a scribe or something else...

Not to discourage you, but I found several on ebay for less than $20. Just ordered one designed for a car 3rd brake light for about ten bucks... flashes for 4 or 5 seconds then goes steady.
