All of those roads are public , fairly main FS roads.

They are washboards in many areas but if one is careful one could ride the
routes on a street bike/tires.

They are only about 8" long with handle fitting around pump casing.
They put out
surprising amount of air per stroke.

I believe that road would be Old Hwy 105. One gets on from the North side of Lake James Dr and it exits at Linville Falls
